At 0205, Rescue Squad 14 was alerted to the 11600 block of South Laurel Drive for smoke in the apartment.  While enroute, Communications received additional calls reporting people trapped.  First arriving units found smoke showing from the apartment building.

Rescue Squad 14 arrived, conducted a primary search of the entire building with negative results and was reassigned RIT duties.

Fire was found in the kitchen of an apartment and quickly knocked down.  Rescue Squad 14 ready for service at 0313 hours.
